Independent portal Manifesto Games has announced a partnership with digital 'casual', mobile and PC video game distribution firm Boonty to distribute six Manifesto titles across Europe, which it hopes will simplify "the e-commerce process for the non-US market."
The games to be picked up by Boonty include abstract strategy game
Battleship Chess, shoot 'em up
Bullet Candy, dungeon crawler
FastCrawl, puzzle platformer
Play with Fire, graphic adventure
The Blackwell Legacy and another graphic adventure title,
The Shivah (pictured).
Founded in 2001, Boonty is an international company with offices in New York, Singapore, and Paris, that
most recently launched a new portal, café.com, to take advantage of the “opportunities presented by incorporating the burgeoning areas of social networking and microtransactions”.
Said Manifesto CEO Greg Costikyan, "We're very excited to be able to work with Boonty. They have an impressive catalog and reputation and it's a great opportunity to distribute our games more broadly. Also, many of the game styles that have a hard time finding a path to market in the U.S. already have a greater, existing popularity in Europe."
