Game companies including Activision, Electronic Arts, Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo and others are confirmed for the E3 2011 conference, as the Entertainment Software Association opened registration for the industry-only event, which takes place June 7-9, 2011 at the L.A. Convention Center.
Online registration for attendees and media will be open through Monday, April 25, 2011. It will be the 17th year for the event, which
brought in 45,600 attendees in 2010.
Owned by industry trade group the ESA, video game companies do not have to be members of the organization to exhibit at E3.
Other confirmed game companies that will exhibit at E3 include THQ, Ubisoft, Atari, LucasArts, Capcom, Atlus, Nvidia and OnLive, among many others. The
exhibitor list will continue grow as the show approaches, according to the ESA.
E3 is open to "All companies involved in console, PC, 'online' and mobile game publishing and developing, qualified business partners, as well as makers of video game hardware and peripherals." Qualified media members are also eligible to attend the annual event.
