Publisher Majesco has announced that it will be localizing another Wii exclusive with Taito's Furu Furu Park
, a collection of 30 retro-classic inspired and "quirky stylized" arcade-style minigames headed to North America this fall.
First released in Japan in April
under the same name, Furu Furu Park
features a number of minigames based on classic Taito franchise including Arkanoid, Bubble Bobble
, and Sonic Blastman
The game will also feature other original minigames including baseball themed 'Pinch Hitter', Wii-rotating 'Safe Cracker', and one on one fighter 'Super Karate'.
All of the games, will, of course, utilize the Wii remote's motion sensing capabilities requiring players to rotate, tilt, and otherwise manipulate the controller to succeed.
The game will also feature three multiplayer modes including 'Free Battle', 'Panel Attack' and a special 'Love Challenge', where, Majesco says, players will "compete to win female affection."
Majesco has also recently announced another Wii exclusive
with Blast Works
, an upgraded Wii exclusive port of Kenta Cho's PC side-scrolling shooter Tumiki Fighters
that will allow players to "craft the game to their liking" by building levels, ships and enemies through in-game editors.
Said Majesco VP of marketing Ken Gold, “Furu Furu Park
’s inventive use of the Wii Remote will have you spinning, shaking and rotating as you try to master classic arcade titles and unique new gameplay scenarios only possible on Nintendo’s Wii system. Whether you’re delivering sushi orders, punching asteroids or cracking a safe, all of the Park games are easy to pick up and play, and above all else, great casual fun.”
