This week’s UK sales charts have seen two high profile PC titles breaking into the top ten – an unusual sight in the console obsessed British Isles. Somewhat predictably EA’s Battlefield Vietnam has performed better than Atari’s Unreal Tournament 2004, despite the latter receiving the more favorable reviews. However, one has to wonder at the wisdom that has seen two highly anticipated PC titles being released on the same day, as well as Far Cry this Friday, when the format has had virtual no similarly high profile titles for months and does not seem likely to receive them again for several months hence. There are few other surprises in the chart this week, although Ubisoft will be glad to see that Jungle Storm has made a belated appearance in the top ten, after the company’s heavy promotion of the title.
