The weekly UK sales chart has still yet to be rejuvenated, after the Christmas rush, but it is showing the first faint signs of returning to life with the first new entry in the top ten of 2004 – in the form of the PlayStation 2 version of Mafia. The most interesting news though is that Need for Speed: Underground has held onto the top spot for the sixth week running. This marks an extraordinary feat for a series that has not traditionally been a big seller in the UK and according to rumor was only promoted as heavily as it was because additional advertising space had already been booked for the delayed 007: Everything or Nothing.
