The U.S. PC sales charts for December show that stock problems have not been an issue for home consoles alone, albeit for slightly different reasons. As previously reported, developer Blizzard has stopped supplying additional copies of World of WarCraft to shops until current problems with overloaded servers are resolved. This has directly affected the title’s performance in the top ten, as it is overtaken by Half-Life 2 – also published by Vivendi. In fact, there are no genuine new entries in the top ten, although The Battle for Middle-Earth only charted in the previous month due to pre-orders.
