After weeks of brisk business sales this week in Japan have slumped considerably, although overall unit sales are still slighty more than at the same time last year.
The latest iteration of the
Custom Robo series has failed to enter at number one only by the narrowest of margins and with the
Famicom Mini and
Pokémon titles still selling extremely well Nintendo employees have seen a strong week of software sales. Unfortunately for them though this has only impacted sales of the GameCube by a little over 1%.
Once again the Game Boy Advance saw the largest market share in hardware sales at 49.93%, followed by the PlayStation 2 at 40.64%, GameCube at 7.88%, Xbox at 0.79% and PS one at 0.42%.
