This week’s sales in Japan have proven far less busy than last week, with no new entries in the top ten and Sammy’s number one title selling only 119,000 units - only just above the 100,000 limit expected of any number one title in Japan. In all, sales were down almost 50% from the previous week, with the only notable trend being Nintendo’s renewed dominance with five titles in the top ten and many more just outside it. Despite this the PlayStation 2 still continues to dominate in hardware sales with 47.12% of the market, followed by the Game Boy Advance at 43.34%, the GameCube up slightly at 8.04% and the Xbox back down below 1% at 0.92%.
