Korean game developers will be spotlighted at E3 2005 in the invitation-only "Global Gaming: Korea Takes On the World" symposium, jointly presented by the Korea Game Development & Promotion Institute together with the Korea Culture and Content Agency.
The symposium's speakers come from five of the biggest Korean game development outfits: Robert Garriott, President of NCSoft USA; Richard Kim, CSO of Gravity Interactive; James Wee, Executive VP of SkyZone Entertainment; Kyu Chang Lee, General Manager of GameVil; and U-Jin Jeon, director of Mirinae Corporation. Richard Aihoshi, IGN.com's editor-in-chief, will moderate the panel. The chief subject under discussion will be mobile gaming and MMORPGs, given their status as the Korean development community's most visible exports.
The Global Gaming symposium will take place on Wednesday, May 18 from 6:00-8:00 P.M., after the main convention lets out for the day, and will be held at the Wilshire Grand Hotel in Los Angeles. Dinner will be served at the event, which will also feature a Q&A session after the main body of the talk. Attendance is by invitation only.
