Officials from Konami have revised the company’s earnings projections upwards, based on stronger than expected sales. The company is now predicting a profit of ¥38 billion ($343m), up from ¥26.7 billion ($241m).
Although software sales in Japan have declined recently, sales in North America have risen by 9% and in Europe by 76%. World-wide the company is anticipating software sales in excess of 17 million unit, with equally strong performances expected from toy, merchandise and animation related businesses.
