Square Enix's
Dragon Quest IX for DS is enjoying a second week at the top of the Japanese software charts, although its second week sales at 613,000 units were significantly less than its
chart-smashing 2.3 million unit debut.
But it's still a commanding lead -- according to new data from Media Create, the number two title, baseball title
Pro Yakyuu Spirits 6 for PlayStation 3, was a distant second with a 74,000 unit debut.
It displaces Nintendo's MotionPlus-bundling
Wii Sports Resort, which concedes one position to come in third, thus stepping Nintendo's own
Tomodachi Collection DS down into the fourth spot.
The PlayStation 2 version of
Pro Takyuu Spirits 6 debuted in the same week as its PlayStation 3 counterpart, in the fifth position.
