IT GlobalSecure Inc. has released the 2.0 version of SecurePlay for Java, which adds J2ME to support mobile gaming. SecurePlay uses cryptographic protocols to allow game developers to prevent many forms of game cheating.
The latest version supports "smart distribution" for game assets and "pluggable" encryption and digital signatures. SecurePlay uses an open communications architecture to work over any network. The upcoming C++ release and PlayStation 2 version are intended to provide game developers with a single game security solution that spans across a range of platforms.
