Infogrames is locking up Epic Games'
Unreal franchise in an exclusive publishing deal. Infogrames will hold all worldwide PC, Macintosh, and console publishing and distribution rights to
Unreal Tournament and the upcoming
Unreal 2, with an option to publish the original
Unreal. These rights had been held by GT Interactive, now itself owned by Infogrames, and the transfer may signal a move by Infogrames to fold GT as a brand. Further details about the deal have not been disclosed.
