Officials from Infogrames have announced the appointment of Fabrice Hamaide as the company’s new chief financial officer (CFO).
Hamaide will be responsible for all finance, investor relations/financial communications, legal and information technology functions at the company, which recently announced a formal merger with U.S. subsidiary Atari, Inc
Hamaide will also become a member of Infogrames’ “COMEX” management board, where he will report directly to CEO David Gardner. A forty-two year old French national, Hamaide was previously CFO at Bluetooth accessory manufacturer Parrot and has also worked at peripheral maker Logitech – although never directly in the video games industry.
Commenting on the appointment, Gardner said: “We are delighted to welcome Fabrice to the group. With his appointment, we are continuing to boost our senior management team and we are particularly happy that Fabrice will be taking over this role. He is a great asset for the company, and his strong background and professional expertise are an excellent base for this senior responsibility within the group.”
Prominent recent appointments at Infogrames have included not just Gardner himself, but also former Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios head Phil Harrison.
