UK-based Ignition Entertainment, which publishes SNK titles in Europe, has announced two new executive placements as part of further plans to expand its U.S. operations. Susan Hale will join the company as director of public relations, following PR roles at companies including Disney, Universal, Tokyopop, IRS Records and with musical artist Prince. Melody Khanbeigi joins the company as product marketing manager, following similar roles at THQ, Disney and Experian. Acquired last year by Indian media firm UTV Software Communications, Ignition’s best known titles include the Mercury Meltdown titles for PlayStation 2, Wii and PSP. In December of last year the company opened two new development studios in Tokyo and Florida, with plans to develop titles across all formats, including Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. "We couldn't be more pleased to have found Melody and Susan for these important roles," said Ajay Chadha, president of Ignition Entertainment. "This is a tremendous time of growth for our company, and we are confident these two professionals have what it takes to assist us in expanding our business through 2008 and beyond," he added.
