The Independent Games Festival Mobile, now in its second year, has added an iPhone game category to the 2009 competition, sponsored by publisher ngmoco, which will award the winners a $10,000 prize. The finalists in the “Best iPhone Game” category will be invited to showcase their games on the expo floor at the 2009 Game Developers Conference, to be held in San Francisco in March. In addition to receiving the monetary prize, the winners will be revealed onstage at the IGF Mobile awards ceremony (also being held in conjunction with GDC 2009), and highlighted at the IGF Awards. iPhone games that are currently in the iPhone mobile store are eligible. There is no cost to enter the IGF Mobile competition. The deadline to submit is November 17, 2008. Please visit igfmobile.com for additional information.
