IGF Competition Finalists Announced

The Independent Games Festival announced the ten finalists for the 2003 event today, which will compete for $20,000 in cash at the event in March.
The ten finalists are (in alphabetical order): 1. BaseGolf by Alitius (Foster City, CA, USA) 2. Furcadia by Dragon's Eye Productions (Austin, TX, USA) 3. Mr. Bigshot by Mr. Bigshot, Inc. (Cincinnati, OH, USA) 4. Pontifex 2 by Chronic Logic (Santa Cruz, CA, USA) 5. Reiner Knizia's Samurai by Klear Games, LLC (Dallas, TX, USA) 6. Strange Adventures In Infinite Space by Digital Eel (Kirkland, WA, USA) 7. Teenage Lawnmower by Robinson Technologies (Fukuyama-shi, Hiroshima-ken, Japan) 8. Terraformers by Pong Interactive HB (Tumba, Sweden) 9. Wild Earth by Super X Studios (Federal Way, WA, USA) 10. Word 'Em Up by Shizmoo Games, Inc. (New York, NY, USA) These ten finalists are competing for the $15,000 Seumas McNally Grand Prize, as well as $1,000 awards for Innovation in Game Design, Innovation in Visual Art, Innovation in Audio, Technical Excellence, and the Audience Award. Winners will be announced on at the IGF ceremony, which will be held at the Game Developers Conference next March in San Jose, CA. The IGF is produced by the Gama Network, which also produces this site.
