IGF Competition Entrants Announced

The Independent Games Festival has released the names of the 2003 entrants, which are competing for $20,000 in cash prizes.
The IGF received 73 entrants this year, over 50% more than last year, and they can be seen on the event's web site at www.igf.com. Games were submitted by teams from Russia, Israel, England, Ireland, Japan, Sweden, South Korea, France, China, Canada, and the United States. In the first round of judging, a panel of jurors narrows the field of entries down to the most innovative 10 games, which will be announced in December. Those 10 games are then invited to come to the Independent Games Festival, held March 6-8, 2003, at the Game Developers Conference in San Jose, CA. The games are competing for 6 awards: Innovation in Game Design, Innovation in Visual Art, Innovation in Audio, Technical Excellence, the Audience Award, and The Seumas McNally Award for Independent Game of the Year. The IGF is produced by the Gama Network, which also produces this site.
