IGF Announces 2002 Student Showcase Selections

The Independent Games Festival has announced the ten student-developed games selected to appear at the IGF Student Showcase, which will be held March 21-23 at the Game Developers Conference in San Jose, CA.
All ten games were developed by full-time high school and college students, and chosen from a pool of 31 entries by the Seattle chapter of the IGDA (also known as Seattle Sputnik). The ten games are: The Artifact Developed by T. Schwalk, S. Nadeau, A. Chamberlain School: Full Sail Commando Attack Sub Developed by D. Canitz, R. Pasquini, C. Burns, J. Song, L. Selby-Hele, et al. School: Digipen Institute of Technology Dissension - Voices Of Justice Developed by R. McConnell School: University of Waterloo, Ontario Elite Developed by S. Mota School: Estadual Paulista University, São Paulo, Brazil Orbs of Attrition Developed by K. Olivero School: University of Oklahoma The Past: Escape From Terra Prime Developed by K. Bolton, J. Nguyen School: University of Kansas Takeout Weight Curling Developed by N. Sorenson School: High School - home-schooling program Thugs Developed by R. Villarreal, J. Restrepo, M. Thrall, N. Feldman, T. Triantafillou School: Digipen Institute of Technology TTwister Developed by D. Petty School: California State University, Chico Xenohammer Developed by B. Smith, C. Haire, J. Shelton, R. Norris, M. Andrew School: Georgia Institute of Technology The IGF is organized by the Gama Network, which also produces this site.
