Human Head CEO Gerritsen Leaves Company

According to online reports, Timothy Gerritsen, the CEO of Prey developer Human Head Studios has left the company and sold his part ownership of the independent developer (Rune, Dead Man's Hand, Prey).
According to a report from consumer website FiringSquad, Timothy Gerritsen, the CEO of Prey developer Human Head Studios has left the company and sold his part ownership of the developer. The report reveals that Gerritsen left before Thanksgiving - and indeed, the company’s official website no longer lists him as a member of staff, confirming his departure. Gerritsen joined the studio as CEO in early 1998, just after its formation – overseeing games including Rune, Dead Man’s Hand and, most recently, Prey, which was developed in association with 3D Realms and released on both the Xbox 360 and PC. According to the FiringSquad report, the departure was described as “amicable”, but brought on by a difference in opinion over the future direction of the company. The nature of any such disagreement is not known, with the company still yet to announce a new title following the release of Prey. Co-founder and current president Paul MacArthur will now take over as interim CEO. The report notes Gerritsen will remain within games development, but it is not yet clear whether this will be at an existing or new company.
