Hudson Soft has announced that Turbo CD and Super CD game software will be available for download on the Wii's Virtual Console, expanding the platforms represented among the Virtual Console's offerings to include CD-ROM-specific titles along with previously available TurboGrafx-16 offerings. The Turbo CD and Super CD downloads will be priced at 800 Wii Points ($8.00) apiece, and the company says it plans to launch some 5 games this year, and more than 10 in 2008. No specific titles have yet been revealed for the North American market, but the announcement of the news in Japan was accompanied by screenshots of classic TurboGrafx action RPG Y's Book I & II and ultra-bizarre cult shooter Cho Aniki. Hudson Soft launched its North American Virtual Console business in November of 2006, and as of July of this year, has extended that service to Europe, Japan and Australia.
