House of Moves, a division of VICON Motion Systems, has unveiled its new facility in Los Angeles, with stages and capabilities equipped to provide end-to-end motion capture services for clients in feature film, television, commercial, game development and interactive markets. With particular reference to the game market, House of Moves has recently completed motion capture for both GoldenEye: Rogue Agent shooter game and The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth for Electronic Arts. The main capture stage at the new 12,000-square-foot Los Angeles-based motion capture studio now boasts an array of 64 VICON MX40 cameras, including the industry¹s first simultaneous facial and full-body capture service. The new House of Moves offers a motion capture volume sized up to 90 x 45 feet. 64 VICON cameras offer motion capture with four-million pixels and on-board processing. House of Moves' new "Golden Volume" is designed for capture of simultaneous facial and full-body performance animation. Captured information is readied for the 3D pipeline using VICON iQ, VICON's automated, kinematics-based data processing application, and House of Moves' Diva software.
