Developer Harmonix Music Systems has integrated Hansoft's project management and QA tools into its pipeline, the latter company said today.
The MTV-owned
Rock Band developer adopted the server-based management software to "support internally and externally driven projects," said production director Michael Verrette.
Hansoft version 5.3 was launched during this year's Game Developers Conference in March, and included new workflow and asset pipeline tools. The company said it was developed with the assistance of various studios worldwide.
"In the short time we have had Hansoft deployed, it has already increased productivity, communication and visibility across our entire team," said Verrette. "The new pipeline and workflow tool has allowed Harmonix to automate many of our repetitive and time consuming production tasks into a streamlined process that the development team has direct interaction with."
Said Patric Palm, CEO of Sweden-based Hansoft, "Seeing how rapidly Harmonix has adapted the pipeline tool, I think we have succeeded. Harmonix is an expansive studio and Hansoft's flexible nature will allow them to grow as fast as they have to. I am really looking forward to following Harmonix in the future and to reaching new highs together."
