Officials from Signature Devices subsidiary Graffiti Entertainment (
Crazy Frog Racer) have announced that Nintendo of America has granted the Redwood City headquartered company North American publishing rights for both the Wii and Nintendo DS platforms.
According to Graffiti Entertainment, the company is now evaluating an unspecified number of titles for release on both platforms, with plans to have a selection of products available within the next few months. The company is perhaps most recognized as the publisher of Neko Entertainment's multiplatform budget release
Crazy Frog Racer and Sabarasa Entertainment's
Mazes of Fate for the Game Boy Advance.
While Graffiti Entertainment was
first established just over a year ago in March 2006, its parent company Signature Devices was responsible for technology on multiple earlier releases, including the Xbox conversion of
Samurai Shodown V and 3D engine work on the PC version of
Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault.
"We are thrilled to have been selected as an official publisher for this leading hardware manufacturer," commented Kenneth Hurley, CEO of both Signature Devices and Graffiti Entertainment. "We have been getting fortified and are now ready to take advantage of the ever-increasing video game market, with U.S. sales of software, hardware and accessories amounting to over $12.5 billion in 2006."
