VMC Game Labs, a video game testing and quality assurance firm, has announced that it will add technical and product support services to its list of offerings. The company will use its current trained staff to supplement its product testing services in North America, Europe, and Asia. VMC's support methods will include online chat and email, which are becoming more widespread as opposed to high-cost phone service. VMC will also maintain self-help sites and FAQs as a first step to cut down on personal support interaction. The firm will offer support on a number of issues, including "reporting piracy, product registration, product warranty, retail outlets, how to get game help, ordering and shipping information, and product releases," as well as technical help. "Games support is a logical outgrowth of VMC's services," said VMC customer contact services managing director Glenn Halstead. "Along with our passion for quality technical support services and operations, we have a wealth of knowledge and experience that we can tap to provide valuable assistance and guidance to serve as a direct link between games software publishers, manufacturers and customers."
