GDC Soliciting Speakers For 2004

The Game Developers Conference announced that it has opened up its call for abstracts for next year's event, to be held in San Jose, CA, from March 22-26, 2004.
The GDC is soliciting speaking proposals in the subjects of audio, business and legal, game design, production, programming, and visual arts. The GDC Advisory Board has defined topics for the conference program, which it believes will reflect issues affecting game development in the near future. However, people may submit proposals on other topics as well, as the advisory board understands that it can't foresee every possible industry trend. Submissions will be graded in four areas: concept, depth, organization of the proposal and topic, and speaker credentials. To submit a speaking proposal, go to http://www.gdconf.com/abstracts. The deadline for speaking submissions is Monday, July 28, and people will find out whether or not their submissions were accepted in September. The GDC is produced by the Gama Network, which also produces this site.
