The 2006 Serious Games Summit at Game Developers Conference, a gathering of developers who use games for non-entertainment purposes as part of the larger 2006 GDC, has put out a call for speakers for its next meeting at the conference next March. (The GDC, like Gamasutra.com, is operated by CMP Media.) The 2006 SGS GDC will have tracks devoted to Serious Game Design, Assessment and Results, Business and Deals, Learning and Instructional Theory, Products Within Projects, and Behind the Game. Interested speakers can apply to give presentations within any of those broad categories at the Serious Games Summit website. The submission deadline is Monday, November 7th. The 2006 Game Developers Conference, which will house the summit, will take place from March 20-24, 2006, at the San Jose Convention Center. The Serious Games Summit portions of the event will be held on March 20 and 21st, the first two days of the convention. [This conference is separate to the 2005 Serious Games Summit itself, which this year, is held from October 31st to November 1st, in Washington, D.C., at the Crystal Gateway Marriott, and recently announced keynote speakers.]
