Leipziger Messe International's Games Convention Asia 2009 will take place November 17 - 20, 2009 in Singapore, the organizers confirmed today.
Now a four-day event, the first day of the convention will be reserved for professional visitors. The Games Convention Asia Conference (GCAC) portion runs alongside the public exhibition, inviting companies that aim to enter the Asian game market, and will take place from November 17-20, 2009 as well.
The expo is comprised of four pillars -- the GC Asia Conference, the Business Center, the Matchmaking area and the public exhibition with regional games tournaments. Angled as a complement to LMI's Leipzig Games Convention in Germany, GCA Games Convention Asia is designed to enable Asian publishers, developers, distributors, and corporate clients network and present their latest products and services on an international level.
"By extending the show for another day, we are meeting the needs and requests of both the industry and supporting government associations,“ says Leipziger Messe International's general manager Jorg Zeissig.
He continues, "With the growing success of the show year and the interest in the region, it was a logical decision to grow and extend the show while providing a dedicated day where the industry can focus on business to business opportunities prior to the consumer segment.”
