Engine developer GarageGames and voice solutions provider Green-Ear released a Torque-integrated software development kit with Green-Ear voice and communications support. The two companies' partnership enables Green-Ear's integrated technology to offer developers the option to add voice and text chat, voice morphing, private channels, and other communication features to games created with Torque Game Builder. The company's voice network is designed to also help developers avoid expensive integration and server rental costs often associated with similar solutions. Says Green-Ear CEO Mike Rojas, "Torque has made it possible for ordinary people to develop sophisticated games and we fit in perfectly in this space. We developed Green-Ear in a way that greatly simplifies adding voice to your game. And if you have Torque, it’s even easier. There’s no need to download external software, rent servers or buy bandwidth, just plug and go."
