This week's top rental charts from U.S. game rental company GameFly, representing the most requested games for the week ending July 24, highlights the popularity surrounding video game titles that have been already released, as well as those that are yet to debut. As has been the case in recent weeks, the top titles on the all-platform and Xbox 360 charts mirrored each other, though this week's requests saw Capcom's upcoming zombie-themed action romp Dead Rising on top of both charts. The game knocked down the previous week's top title, Take-Two and Human Head's Prey, into the second spot. The top three titles on both charts were rounded out by Sega and From Software's Chromehounds. Requests for titles for the original Xbox again were topped by Electronic Arts' NCAA Football 07, followed by the company's frenetic Criterion-developed Black. Eidos' stealth action title Hitman: Blood Money was the third most requested Xbox title for the week. NCAA Football 07 was also the most requested PlayStation 2 title for the week for the second week in a row. In addition, a pair of anime-themed titled rounded out the top three PlayStation 2 requests for the week, namely Atari's recently shipped Super Dragon Ball Z and Namco Bandai's 3D fighting game Naruto: Ultimate Ninja. THQ's Monster House again topped the list of GameCube requests for the week, followed by Nintendo's own Super Mario Strikers. Another THQ title, Cars fell one spot to take third for the week, replacing last week's third most popular GameCube request, Super Monkey Ball Adventure, which ranked in seventh place on the new chart. Atari's Dragon Ball: Advanced Adventure was the most requested Game Boy Advance title for the week, followed by D3P's Naruto: Ninja Council and Nintendo's Pokemon Emerald. Regarding the the Nintendo DS, Nintendo's New Super Mario Bros. was once again the most requested title for the popular handheld, followed by casual game Big Brain Academy. The upcoming release of Star Fox: Command from Nintendo was the third most requested DS title on the chart, while Metroid Prime Hunters, last week's third most requested DS title, tumbled into eighth position. Namco Bandai's Tekken: Dark Resurrection replaced Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth on top of the PSP chart for the week, knocking Square Enix's RPG into the second position. The portable version of EA's NCAA Football 07 rounded out the top three requests for Sony's portable for the week.
