This week's top rental charts from U.S. game rental company GameFly, representing the most requested games for the week ending May 29, highlights the popularity surrounding video game titles that have been already released, as well as those that are yet to debut. Once again the week's top requested titles across all platforms mirror those on the Xbox 360 chart exactly, and also once more both lists were dominated by Eidos' recently released stealth action game Hitman: Blood Money. Rockstar Games' Xbox 360 competitive sports game Table Tennis ranked as the second most requested game on the all format and Xbox 360 charts, followed by Activision's X-Men: The Official Game. Activision's X-Men: The Official Game stood out at the most requested Xbox title for the week as well. Majesco's Jaws Unleashed, which casts players in the role of the famous shark, was the second most requested Xbox title for the week, followed by THQ's adaptation of the upcoming CG-animated family movie Cars. On the PlayStation 2 platform, Take-Two and Rockstar Games' port of Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories from the PSP was the most requested game for the week. X-Men: The Official Game proved to be a popular request as well, as the action title ranked as the second most popular title, followed by Square Enix's action RPG Kingdom Hearts II. GameCube requests for the week were once again topped by a pair of THQ releases with both Cars and the action adventure title Teen Titans in the top two spots. Interestingly, last week's third most popular title, X-Men: The Official Game, was forced to give up its position in favor of Activision's video game adaptation of the CG animated film Over the Hedge. Nintendo's Pokemon Emerald ranked as the most requested Game Boy Advance title for the week, knocking down chart mainstay Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories into the number two position. The Namco-developed RPG Tales of Phantasia was the third most requested title for the week for the portable. Nintendo's New Super Mario Bros. continued to stomp on Goombas and eat mushrooms atop the Nintendo DS list for the week, followed by Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day! and Nintendo's upcoming casual game release of Big Brain Academy. Sony Online Entertainment's turn-based strategy title Field Commander ranked as the most popular request for Sony's PSP, followed by Capcom's upcoming RPG Monster Hunter Freedom. Sony and Team 17's recently released puzzle game Lemmings ranked in as the third most requested PSP title for the week.
