This week's top rental charts from U.S. game rental company GameFly, representing the most requested games for the week ending November 3, highlight the popularity surrounding video game titles that have been already released, as well as those that are yet to debut.
The week's most popular titles across all platforms were topped by requests for Epic and Microsoft's highly anticipated squad based shooter,
Gears of War for the Xbox 360. Last week's number one title, the Xbox 360 port of
F.E.A.R., fell into second place on the weekly chart, while the top three overall requests were rounded out by Activision's upcoming multiplatform military shooter,
Call of Duty 3. The same three titles, as expected, also ranked on top of the Xbox 360 specific chart as well.
Looking to the original Xbox, requests for the platform were led by Activision's action role-playing game,
Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, followed by
Call of Duty 3 and Electronic Arts' recently shipped arcade style racing title,
Need for Speed: Carbon. PlayStation 2 requests were topped by Square Enix's role-playing epic,
Final Fantasy XII. The top three requested titles for Sony's platform were rounded out by Take Two's
Bully and Activision's
Marvel: Ultimate Alliance.
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was the most requested GameCube title for the week, beating out EA's racing title
Need for Speed: Carbon. THQ's family oriented
Nicktoons: Battle for Volcano Island rounded out the top three requests for Nintendo's current console platform for the week.
Game Boy Advance requests were once again led by Nintendo's
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team. Square Enix's Nintendo published
Final Fantasy V was the second most requested title for the platform for the week, followed by the Nintendo's own
Pokemon Emerald .
Pokemon Ranger was again the top requested title on the Nintendo DS chart, followed by the dungeon crawler
Children of Mana and rhythm game
Elite Beat Agents. Turning to the PSP, Rockstar's
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories was the most requested title for the handheld, followed by Sony's
Killzone: Liberation and Electronic Arts'
Medal of Honor: Heroes.
GameFly requests for titles for the PlayStation 3 were again topped by Sony's
Resistance: Fall of Man. Activision's
Call of Duty 3 ranked second on the chart, followed by the company's
Marvel: Ultimate Alliance. Wii requests were once again dominated by Ubisoft's Wii-exclusive
Red Steel. Nintendo's
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was the second most requested Wii title for the week, followed by Atlus'
Trauma Center: Second Opinion.
