This week's GameFly video game rental charts for North America, specifically relating to games rented via the games-by-mail service for the week ending May 16th, show popularity for particular titles over multiple game formats. The cross-platform charts show The Collective's multiplatform adaption of the soon-to-open Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith holding fast in the top position, with Microsoft's purported Gran Turismo-beater Forza Motorsport holding fast in second for Xbox, and Sony's God Of War bounding back up to third place. In the Xbox chart, it's once again the same games in the same order when compared to last week's GameFly charts - Star Wars Episode III, Forza, and Doom 3. However the PlayStation 2 charts differ marginally more, keeping Star Wars Episode III and God Of War, and switching in Capcom's somewhat older but still action-hungry Devil May Cry 3. As for Nintendo's GameCube, the top two remain resolutely the same, with Resident Evil 4 at #1 and Star Fox Assault at #2, but the newly-released Donkey Konga 2 taking the third spot - though presumably bongo drums are not shipped through the mail alongside it, stunting its rental potential somewhat. As for the portable platforms, Pokémon Emerald continues to rule the roost for the Game Boy Advance, with Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap in second and Square Enix's card-happy Kingdom Hearts: Chain Of Memories in third place. For the PSP, there's a shuffling of the top spots, with Sony's cartoony Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee at #1 and NBA Street Showdown at #2, closely followed by EA's Need for Speed Underground Rivals. Finally, the DS sees Pac Pix rushing triumphantly up to the top of the chart, with Yoshi Touch & Go next, and Wario Ware: Touched! in third position - Star Wars Episode III for the portable is creeping up the chart and is now in 5th position.
