This week's top rental charts from U.S. game rental company GameFly, representing the most requested games for the week ending October 1st, highlight both to-be-released and already released games in a unique demand-specific chart. Halo 3 maintains the top spot in the overall charts for the third straight week, while just over a week ahead of its highly anticipated release, the Half Life 2 compilation The Orange Box comes into the second spot, displacing EA's Skate all the way down to the fifth position. This week marks Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare's third week in the third spot, and Project Gotham Racing 4 enters the top five in the fourth position. What follows is a breakdown of the top titles requested by GameFly subscribers across each of the major platforms: Xbox 360 1. Halo 3 (Microsoft), 2. Half Life 2: The Orange Box (EA) 3. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Activision), 4. Project Gotham Racing 4 (Microsoft), 5. Skate (EA) For the third straight week, the top five all-platform requests are identical to the top five Xbox 360 requests, reflecting the same movement and demonstrating a telling dominance for the console in the rental market. Nintendo Wii 1. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (Nintendo), 2. MySims (EA), 3. Carnival Games (Globalstar), 4. Victorious Boxers: Revolution (Xseed), 5. Bleach: Shattered Blade (Sega) Metroid Prime 3: Corruption spent six weeks in the top spot before slipping into number three last week, but Samus shows she's not ready to let go of number one as she takes back the lead. It's the third week in a row at number two for MySims in the week following its release, and Carnival Games returns to the third spot after spending last week in fourth position. Victorious Boxers: Revolution, last week's number one, slips down to number four with Bleach: Shattered Blade entering the top five. PlayStation 3 1. Heavenly Sword (Sony), 2. Folklore (Sony), 3. Skate (EA), 4. Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction (Sony) 5. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Activision) The trifecta of Heavenly Sword, Skate and Warhawk in the top three is interrupted this week as Folklore breaks in, nudging Skate from second into third position. Warhawk finally departs the top five this week, as Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction enters the top five in the fourth spot vacated by Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, which slides into fifth and removing Lair from top five contention. PlayStation 2 1. Jackass: The Game (Red Mile) 2. Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (Activision), 3. God of War II (Sony), 4. Thrillville: Off the Rails (LucasArts), 5. Spider Man: Friend or Foe (Activision) Jackass: The Game takes the top spot for the second week in a row, and God of War II slips from the second into the third position. Aside from those titles, it's a shake-up on the PS2 request charts, with Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock ascending into the second spot while other titles new to the top five, Thrillville: Off the Rails and Spider Man: Friend or Foe, take the fourth and fifth spots, respectively. Nintendo DS 1. The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (Nintendo), 2. Drawn to Life (THQ) 3.MySims (EA), 4. Jam Sessions (Ubisoft) , 5. Jam Sessions and Sonic Rush Adventure simply trade the fourth and fifth positions over last week. PlayStation Portable 1. Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions (Square Enix), 2. Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron (LucasArts), 3. Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow (Sony), 4. Jackass: The Game (Red Mile), 5. Jackass: The Game: takes fourth, while Jeanne D'Arc hangs in there, spending the second week in a row at number five. Xbox 1. Halo 2 (Microsoft), 2. Halo (Microsoft), 3. Madden NFL '08 (EA) 4. Family Guy - Video Game! (Take Two), 5. Ninja Gaiden Black (Tecmo) It's Halo 2 fourth week in number one, and the original Halo steps up one into the second spot after spending three weeks at number three. Family Guy - Video Game! enters the top five in the fourth spot. GameCube 1. Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Nintendo) 2. Super Smash Bros. Melee (Nintendo), 3. Metroid Prime 2: Echoes (Nintendo), 4. Mario Kart: Double Dash (Nintendo) 5. Super Mario Sunshine (Nintendo) Twilight Princess retains the number one spot over last week, while Super Smash Bros. Melee and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes swap second and third place. With Mario Kart: Double Dash and Super Mario Sunshine taking fourth and fifth over from Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem and Resident Evil respectively, the top five GameCube requests are a solid block of first-party titles. Game Boy Advance 1. Pokemon: Emerald (Nintendo), 2. Pokemon: Ruby (Nintendo), 3. Pokemon: Sapphire (Nintendo), 4. Pokemon: Fire Red(Nintendo), 5. Pokemon: Leaf Green (Nintendo). Total Pokemon dominance of the Game Boy Advance top five is back, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance leaves the top five.
