This week's top rental charts from U.S. game rental company GameFly, representing the most requested games for the week ending February 26, highlight both to-be-released and already released games in a unique demand-specific chart. As has been the case in recent weeks, it was the Xbox 360 exclusive sandbox action game Crackdown that proved to be the most popular release across all platforms for the week, with Take Two's Major League Baseball 2K7 and EA's Def Jam Icon rounding out the top three games on the all platform chart. These games also represented top requested Xbox 360 releases for the week as well. While the anticipation behind Take Two's upcoming MLB title was not restricted to the Xbox 360, with Major League Baseball 2K7 ranking as the second most requested PlayStation 3 title for the week, it was Sega's recently shipped Virtua Fighter 5 that took top honors for Sony's latest platform. The third most requested game for the PS3 was EA's multiplatform NBA Street Homecourt. Looking to the Wii, it was again Sega's Sonic and the Secret Rings that ranked on top of the chart, followed by Electronic Arts' Wii exclusive SSX Blur and Nintendo's own Wario Ware: Smooth Moves. While Sony's God of War II may not have again ranked among the top three requested titles overall as it did last week, there is no questioning the game's popularity among PlayStation 2 owners, as the game once again dominated all requested titles for the console. A pair of Take Two releases, Ghost Rider and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, rounded out the top three PS2 requests for the week. Xbox requests were topped by Vivendi's physics-heavy racing game FlatOut 2, followed by Call of Duty 3 from Activision and Take Two's ever popular Major League Baseball 2K7. Elsewhere, the GameCube chart was again topped by The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, followed by Mario Party 7 and action RPG Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Requests for the Game Boy Advance were once again topped by Final Fantasy VI Advance, with Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap and Pokemon Emerald rounding out the top three requests for the handheld. Nintendo's upcoming Wario: Master of Disguise ranked above all other titles for the Nintendo DS for the week, followed by Diddy Kong Racing DS and Hotel Dusk. Finally, PSP requests were again dominated by Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters, followed by Sony's own MLB 07: The Show and Take Two's movie inspired Ghost Rider.
