U.S. video game rental service GameFly has announced the winners of their 3rd Annual GameFly Q Awards. The Q Awards are subscribers’ annual opportunity to vote for their favorite titles of the past year, and more than 100,000 votes, were cast this year. As some of the highlights of the awards, Capcom's Resident Evil 4 won both ‘Favorite Game of the Year’ and ‘Favorite GameCube Game,’ while Call of Duty 2 won the award for ‘Favorite Xbox 360 Game.’ According to the organizers, voting for this year’s Q Awards took place in nine different categories, including favorite game of the year, as well as individual console categories. Winners of GameFly’s 3rd Annual Q Awards were voted on by GameFly subscribers from January 16 – February 9, 2006. The full winners of the 3rd Annual GameFly Q Awards are: Favorite Game of the Year: Resident Evil 4, Capcom Favorite PlayStation 2 Game: God of War, Sony Computer Entertainment Favorite Xbox Game: Star Wars Battlefront II, LucasArts Favorite Xbox 360 Game: Call of Duty 2, Activision Favorite GameCube Game: Resident Evil 4, Capcom Favorite PSP Game: Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, Rockstar Favorite PSP Movie: Family Guy Presents Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story, Fox Home Entertainment Favorite Nintendo DS Game: Mario Kart DS, Nintendo Favorite Game Boy Advance Game: The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, Nintendo “At any given point in time, the GameFly subscriber base provides an unfiltered look at what gamers are actively playing,” said Sean Spector, co-founder and SVP of business development and content, GameFly. “The annual Q Awards gives our subscribers the power to choose their favorite games, and the winning publishers should be proud that they created a title which our subscribers rented, played and loved.”
