Publisher Gamecock and developer Firefly Studios have announced the initial details for
Dungeon Hero, the "first dungeon-based game to realistically depict underground life", which is expected to ship for the PC and Xbox 360 in early 2009.
Originally established in 1999, and best known for the PC strategy franchise
Stronghold, Firefly Studios states that
Dungeon Hero will offer “a fresh take on the classic dungeon based game.” The game, which was originally simply referred to as "Hero," will also feature an in-game world that is “a totally functional, living, breathing community in every way.”
While few details have been yet been revealed, not surprising given the game's distant release, the action title is expected to offer high-definition graphics along with “close quarters combat” as players compete alone of with a friend to become the “Hero of the Dungeon.”
