Independent game publisher Gamecock Media Group has announced further and final details of its forthcoming E3 alternative expo E.I.E.I.O. taking place July 11-13, promising the unveiling of two new unannounced next-gen games.
As earlier reported
in an interview with Gamecock CEO and founding member Mike Wilson, the “Expo for Interactive Entertainment, Independent and Original” formed as a reaction to the downsized E3's decision to focus on only 32 companies, compared to the hundreds of developers and publishers showcased during previous years.
Set to take place at Santa Monica’s Hotel California (1670 Ocean Ave), "right smack in the middle of all the E3 hotels," the publisher promises "playable games, accessible developers, Gamecock suckers, and food and drink."
On display and available for demo at the event will be all of Gamecock's forthcoming titles, Fury, Insecticide, Dementium: The Ward, Hail to the Chimp, Mushroom Men
and Dungeon Hero
, and, says the group, two new properties to be unveiled during the expo.
Said CEO Wilson, "EIEIO is going to be a celebration of the amazing lineup of independent developers that Gamecock has been lucky enough to sign on, and I’m thrilled to say that every one of them will be in attendance to give personal demos of their works in progress."

While this year's E3 ‘business summit’ might seem a bit strange and uptight, those who still harbor a true love for original games and the talented folks that create them should know that there’s plenty of room at the Hotel California.
