Emergent Technologies said its Gamebryo LightSpeed development system will add AiLive's motion control solution LiveMove 2, which will support Sony's upcoming PlayStation Move motion controller. Developers using both Gamebryo Lightspeed and AiLive can use the tools to also create games for the Nintendo Wii Remote and the more accurate Wii MotionPlus, which AiLive co-designed. LiveMove 2 is currently available for PS3 developers. "With LiveMove 2, developers can now prototype motion controls in minutes without coding" said Ron Musick, VP of engineering at AiLive. LiveMove 2 utilizes machine learning technology that can "track and recognize any kind of human motion, simply by providing examples," the companies said in a press statement. "The LightSpeed integration adds a lightning-fast rapid iteration workflow on both PlayStation3 and Wii," Musick added. "Motion controls can be immediately tested, modified and perfected without needing to restart the game. Developers get a fast prototyping solution right out of the box."
