Casual game publisher and distributor Game Trust has announced that it has hired Brian Robbins, co-founder of the International Game Developers Association’s (IGDA) Casual Games Special Interest Group (SIG) and the current Chair for the IGDA’s Online Games SIG, to be its newly created Director of Games. Most recently Director of Online Gaming at Fuel Industries, Robbins was the lead programmer for SWITCH Wakeboarding, which launched last year on Game Trust. At Game Trust, Robbins will be charged with: working with game developers to release high quality games both online and for download; extending Game Trust’s API; managing Game Trust’s integrated game catalog; and further building the company’s relationships with the development community. “Today, the casual games industry is at a tipping point,” said Adeo Ressi, CEO of Game Trust. “Brian has long been a champion of casual games and understands the potential of casual games, perhaps, better than anyone else. As an award-winning developer, he will help ensure that Game Trust remains at the forefront of delivering the leading edge of content and technology.”
