Game Trust, producer of the casual games pay-to-play software portal GameFrame, has announced the 2nd annual Casual Game Evolution Challenge, which aims to find the best Java-based games available to play online, is open to all game developers. According to the company, three finalists will be announced on March 8, and the grand prize among the three will be determined by a player's choice vote during Game Developers Conference later that month. "Last year’s contest was a booming success and we look forward to exceptional Java-based entries this year," said Game Trust CEO Adeo Ressi. "The market for premium play casual games is ripe and we intend to showcase the three best entries at GDC and let the people decide the Grand Prize Winner. Not only will the Grand Prize Winner receive a $20,000 Game Plan Contract with revenue share and guaranteed distribution to millions of players, but he or she will also win a trip of a lifetime—an eight-day adventure tour for four to Costa Rica.” Further contest and prize details, as well as submission forms, are available at the contest's official website.
