Game Sales Slowed In 2000, According to IDSA

The Interactive Digital Software Association (IDSA) said that sales of video and computer games in the United States last year fell slightly from 1999.
Once again, the shortage of Playstation 2 consoles was cited as part of the reason industry revenues slowed down. For the year, the sales across all game platforms came in at $6.02 billion, off from the $6.1 billion in sales that the industry saw in 1999. This was the first time that industry games sales slipped since the IDSA first began tracking these numbers in 1994.
