The Game Developers Conference (part of the CMP Game Group, as is Gamasutra) has released further details on the new 'Vision Track' debuting at the 2005 GDC. The lecture track features creative artists from a range of cultural media, such as film, music, design, and games, discussing their visions of the future of interactive entertainment. Newly confirmed speakers for the 'Vision Track' include John Underkoffler, science & technology advisor to films including Minority Report, The Hulk, and the upcoming live-action adaptation of Aeon Flux, with the subject of his lecture yet to be announced, as well as Lionhead's Peter Molyneux, using the example of his company's internally-created 'Dimitri project' to explore new gameplay devices and styles for the future of gaming. Other speakers for this track include Remington Scott, supervisor of computer-generated performance animation for motion pictures that include The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers and Spider-Man 2, discussing digital human acquisition for next-generation games, and Maxis founder and Sim City/The Sims creator Will Wright broaching the simply-described topic of "the future of content in the games industry." The 2005 Game Developers Conference (GDC) is taking place from March 7th to 11th 2005 at the Moscone Center West in San Francisco, and initial information on nearly 170 sessions can be found at the official GDC 2005 website, www.gdconf.com.
