The organizers of the Game Developers Conference have published an announcement reminding all possible speakers that the Call For Submissions for the 2006 GDC, which is to be held from March 20th to March 24th, 2006 at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, California, will end on August 1st at 11.59pm EST, and no further submissions will be accepted past that date. The submissions, which can be submitted via the official GDC website include opportunities to present lectures, roundtables, longer tutorials and 'poster sessions' on a variety of topics, from production and business through programming, art, and audio. Each abstract will be rated by the Game Developers Conference advisory board before final decisions are made on precise topics and lectures later in the year. This year's GDC advisory board consists of a number of senior industry figures including Cerny Games' Mark Cerny, Factor 5's Julian Eggebrecht, Nihilistic Software's Rob Huebner, Ubisoft's Julien Merceron, Shiny Entertainment's David Perry, Electronic Arts' Alan Yu, and many others. [GDC is presented by the CMP Game Group, organizers of the Game Developers Conference Europe and Serious Games Summit, and publishers of Game Developer Magazine and Gamasutra.com.]
