Game Connection has announced that more than 160 exhibitors will present at its Game Connection America event at the 2008 Game Developers Conference, including newcomers Running With Scissors (
Postal) and Acquire (
Tenchu).
This is the fourth year for the event, which saw its American launch in 2004. Since then, the organizers say the event has grown from 250 participants in its first year to the 550 estimated attendees expected this year.
Confirmed exhibitors for Game Connection America @ GDC 2008 include: 10 Tacle Studios, Acquire, Bug Tracker, Cenega Poland, Coresoft, Cyanide, Focus Home Interactive, Kylotonn, Lexis Numérique, Mere Mortals, Milestone, Now Production Company, Pixelux Entertainment, Rebellion, Running With Scissors, Santa Cruz Games, Savage Entertainment, Stainless Games, Team 17, Torus Games, Ultizen Games, Virtuos, Vogster Entertainment, and more.
The organizers note that over 36 countries will be represented at this year's event, including a first-time Japanese delegation of 9 companies, along with representatives from France, the UK, Nordic countries, Canada, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, China, Jordania, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand, among others.
