Game Boy Advance SP Price Drop Official In UK

Nintendo of Europe has officially announced a widely predicted price cut for the Game Boy Advance SP in the UK. The price of the stand-alone console will drop from £89 ($159) to £69 ($124), starting on 24th September. It is unclear whether a similar drop will also be seen across continental Europe, especially since the Game Boy Advance has always underperformed in the UK. What does seems certain is that this will be Nintendo of Europe’s only price cut this year, with the GameCube unlikely to drop below its current £79 ($142) price tag outside of store specific deals. However, various GameCube bundles featuring new and old games have been rumored. Two limited-edition Game Boy Advance SP bundles have already been announced for release in November, featuring specially decorated consoles promoting The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap and Mario vs. Donkey Kong.
