Future Play, the conference formerly known as Computer Game Technology Conference, has announced its 2005 dates. The show will take place at Michigan State University, from October 13th-15th. The organizers are currently accepting papers to be read at the conference as well, at up to 8 pages in length. Papers submitted must be original works not currently under review elsewhere, although work-in-progress reports from ongoing research are acceptable. Those whose papers are selected will be asked to give a 20-minute presentation of the paper at a Future Play session, together with other speakers on similar topics. The deadline for paper submissions is July 8, 2005, and those submitting papers will be notified of a decision by August 15th. The Future Play conference is devoted to future game development, emerging industry trends, and the next wave of innovative developers. Questions on submitting a paper to the Future Play conference should go to [email protected]. More details on the conference, as well as the poster sessions and game exhibition, can be found at the official Future Play website.
