Sony Computer Entertainment Europe representatives have announced that hardware sales of the PlayStation 2 in France have exceeded 3 million units, with software sales recently passing the 17 million mark.
At the same time the company has estimated it currently controls 70% of the global market with the PlayStation 2 and PS one.
