Following the success of recent advergames such as the Burger King trilogy, UK developer FreeStyleGames (B-Boy) has announced a new partnership with Red Bull to create "triple A titles" for next-gen consoles based on the energy drink. FreeStyleGames has said that the new titles, planned for unnanounced "new consoles," will offer "immersive, entertaining and social experiences." The two companies have formerly partnered with some sponsorship in the development of FreeStyleGames's PSP/PS2 rhythm action title B-Boy, which art director Jamie Jackson said "only just scratched the surface of the potential of this relationship." Said FreeStyleGames commercial director Chris Lee, “This partnership goes way beyond the in-game advertising deals seen in video games to date. It's important to stress that we're working hand in hand to co-develop and design compelling, triple A titles that will be a true reflection of the Red Bull Energy Drink brand, as well as great, original gaming experiences in their own right.” More on the forthcoming titles has not yet been announced, but FreeStyleGames has said that release dates and publishers will be announced shortly.
