When Denise Kaigler
quit Nintendo in November 2009 after less than two years on the job, she said that the strains of travel took their toll on her family life.
Now, the former Nintendo VP of corporate affairs has settled down with Maynard, MA-based 38 Studios, the online gaming company founded by retired MLB pitching star Curt Schilling.
Kaigler now serves as 38 Studios as chief marketing officer, she explained in a note to media outlets on Monday.
At Nintendo, Kaigler replaced Perrin Kaplan after the company moved much of its marketing operations to San Francisco from the game maker's Redmond offices. Prior to Nintendo, Kaigler served 16 years in a marketing executive role at Reebok.
Like 38 Studios, Kaigler is based in New England, and previously said that the challenge of traveling between her home and Nintendo's offices in San Francisco, Seattle and New York proved taxing on her work-life balance.
